Introduction: Recently, the Ministry of Finance issued water pollution prevention and control funds in advance for 2025 to support water pollution prevention and control and water ecological environmental protection, with a total budget of 16 billion.

The water pollution prevention and control funds are used to support the development of ecological and environmental protection work such as water pollution control in the basin, water ecological protection and restoration in the basin, centralized drinking water source protection, groundwater ecological environmental protection, and water pollution prevention and control supervision capacity building, so as to achieve continuous improvement of water quality in key river basins, stable and improving drinking water quality, and overall stable groundwater environmental quality. Strengthen the ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River and Yellow River basins, and promote the gradual improvement of water quality in the basin. Among them, the number of water pollution prevention and control projects supported is no less than 200, and the investment in local and social water pollution prevention and control work driven is no less than 2 billion yuan, etc.
